Heaven 17 return to Newcastle on Thursday 15 October 2026 for a headline show at Boiler Shop, with Peter Coyle joining them as special guest. Doors open at 7pm for a night built around one of the defining records of early British synth-pop.

Martyn Ware and Glenn Gregory will perform material from Penthouse and Pavement as the album marks its 45th anniversary. The record reached number 14 on the UK Albums Chart and went Gold, while its mix of electronic pop, funk and sharply observed songwriting helped establish Heaven 17 as one of the key groups to emerge from Sheffield’s early-80s electronic scene.
The Newcastle date is presented by SJM Concerts and also features Peter Coyle. Coyle is best known as the frontman of Liverpool group The Lotus Eaters, adding another distinctive voice from the era to the Boiler Shop bill.
Boiler Shop’s industrial setting should suit a show centred on the precision and atmosphere of Penthouse and Pavement. The venue lists the event as 14+, with under-16s required to attend with an adult.
