Madra Salach Brings Its Debut Tour to The Grove
Madra Salach brings its first UK and Ireland headline tour to The Grove Newcastle on 3 October 2026.

Madra Salach The Grove Newcastle arrives on Saturday 3 October 2026 as the Irish alternative-folk six-piece brings its first UK and Ireland headline run to St Michael’s Road. Doors open at 7pm, and the date lands in the middle of a busy autumn tour that also takes the band through Paris, Berlin, Utrecht, Cardiff, Liverpool, Manchester and London.
The timing is significant. Madra Salach released its debut EP, It’s A Hell Of An Age, in July 2026, so the Newcastle show comes while those songs are still defining the band’s live identity. The five-track record includes Blue & Gold, Spancil Hill, I Was Just A Boy, The Man Who Seeks Pleasure and Murphy Can Never Go Home. Together, they show why the group has started to stand out from the crowded folk revival around them.
Madra Salach The Grove Newcastle catches the band on its first headline run
The six-piece format gives the music room to move between restraint and noise. Acoustic textures sit beside more forceful rhythms, while the vocal arrangements can make the songs feel communal without losing the darker edges in the writing. Because The Grove keeps the stage close to the floor, that push and pull should translate well in a room where small changes in dynamics remain noticeable.
The Newcastle date also comes only three days after the tour reaches Exeter and directly after Cardiff and Liverpool. That should mean the set is already settled, but not over-rehearsed. As a result, there is a good chance the songs will retain the looseness and tension that helped build the band’s early word-of-mouth following.
Their official site currently lists the 3 October Grove show as part of the headline tour. It also confirms a much wider run across Europe, North America and Ireland before the end of the year, so this is a relatively small-room chance to catch the band during a fast-moving period.
