Nirvana Unplugged Experience The Grove Newcastle comes to St Michael’s Road on Sunday 4 October 2026 for a seated tribute built around Nirvana’s landmark 1993 MTV Unplugged performance. Doors open at 7pm, and the current ticketing lists the show as 14+, with under-18s accompanied by an adult.

This is not a standard greatest-hits tribute built around the loudest moments in Nirvana’s catalogue. Instead, the production centres on the stripped-back atmosphere of MTV Unplugged in New York, the performance that placed acoustic arrangements, lesser-known songs and carefully chosen covers alongside the band’s own material. That distinction gives the evening a different pace from a conventional rock tribute.
