The Dirt Newcastle brings sonic psych punk to Cluny 2 on Sunday 18 October 2026. Dinky Bossetti and Snakes With Tits join an all-ages matinee that starts at noon, giving the bill a very different shape from a typical late show.
The Dirt pair looping guitars and punchy percussion with fast-firing spoken lyrics. That stripped-back set-up gives the duo room to build repetition without losing urgency. Meanwhile, pedals and layers push the music towards a heavier, trance-like edge.

The noon opening time matters because it changes the atmosphere around the performance. Rather than waiting for darkness, the audience gets an intense psych-punk set in the middle of Sunday. The all-ages policy also opens the event to listeners who cannot usually attend evening venue shows.
Dinky Bossetti bring a trans-punk, DIY riot grrrl angle to the bill. Snakes With Tits describe their sound as “radgewave mamgaze”, adding another local underground flavour. Therefore, the supporting line-up isn’t simply repeating the headliner’s approach.
Cluny 2 should amplify the details within The Dirt’s sound. Guitar loops can fill the small room quickly, while the duo format keeps every rhythmic shift exposed. In addition, the close stage makes the lyrical delivery harder to treat as background noise.
