A Forest of Stars bring new era to The Grove Newcastle

A Forest of Stars Newcastle arrives at The Grove on Friday 27 November with Fellwarden, Nemorous and Andracca joining a four-band bill. Doors are listed for 7pm, with the Newcastle date forming part of a short run that places the group alongside the same support acts in Glasgow and Nottingham.

The show lands during a fresh phase for A Forest of Stars. The band returned in 2026 with Stack Overflow In Corpse Pile Interface, their first newly listed full-length release since Grave Mounds and Grave Mistakes in 2018. That eight-year gap gives this run a very different context from a simple catalogue tour.

Stack Overflow In Corpse Pile Interface is the first A Forest of Stars album listed on the band’s site since 2018, so the Newcastle set has genuinely new territory to explore after a long pause between records. The band’s 2026 activity has also included a run of new videos, reinforcing that the current live dates are tied to a renewed creative period rather than a retrospective cycle.

The support package should make The Grove date especially substantial. Fellwarden, Nemorous and Andracca all sit within darker and more atmospheric corners of heavy music, which gives the night a coherent shape without reducing every act to the same sound. For anyone drawn to A Forest of Stars’ mix of black metal, psychedelia and theatrical detail, that full bill is as important as the headline slot.
