Charlie Floyd is a North Shields artist, songwriter and producer whose melodic alternative music carries a strong connection to Tyneside. He first developed through the local band scene, including earlier work with BALTIC, before moving into a solo project with more space for personal songwriting and production.

That background still shows in the music, which balances indie-rock instincts with a more reflective, carefully produced approach. Floyd’s songs are built around melody first, but the arrangements leave room for atmosphere and detail rather than relying on straightforward guitar-band formulas.

North Shields and Newcastle remain important parts of his musical story, while appearances on wider North East bills have helped introduce the solo material to audiences beyond his immediate home patch. The project feels rooted locally without being limited by it.
