Odyssey

Odyssey are a Newcastle alternative-indie band whose identity has been shaped as much by the stage as by the studio. Their music is guitar-led and energetic, with a live approach that favours immediacy over polish.

The band moved quickly from their first shows into recorded material, releasing debut EP Double Take within months of beginning to gig. The record captures that early momentum while giving Odyssey space to develop a sound of their own within Newcastle’s crowded independent scene.

That balance between urgency and melody remains central to the band’s appeal. On stage, the songs are built to feel direct and physical; on record, the same material has room to reveal the details beneath the bigger indie-rock hooks.
