Stagger Lee

Stagger Lee is a Newcastle-based DJ and selector whose sets move freely through soul, rhythm and blues, reggae, funk, folk, jazz, dub and alternative sounds. Rather than sticking to one narrow lane, the appeal comes from how those styles are connected across a set.

Regular appearances at The Cumberland Arms and other Newcastle venues have made Stagger Lee a familiar part of the city’s grassroots music scene. The long-running Lazy Sunday sessions are a particularly good fit for that approach, allowing the music to move from laid-back selections into deeper grooves without the pressure of a conventional club set.

That series continues through autumn 2026, with Lazy Sunday dates at The Cumberland Arms in September, October and November. It has become a recurring part of the venue’s calendar and a natural home for Stagger Lee’s wide-ranging selections.
