Voices of Virtue Gospel Choir

Voices of Virtue Gospel Choir is a Newcastle-founded vocal group recognised as one of the North East’s leading gospel choirs. Its performances bring together gospel, soul and uplifting contemporary material with a strong emphasis on community and shared musical experience.

Friends Matti and Chichi developed Voices of Virtue from an original duo into a 14-strong choir and band. The group is based in the North East but has performed for audiences across the UK, building a reputation for vibrant arrangements, powerful collective vocals and joyful live shows.

The choir also provides a welcoming platform for skilled vocalists and musicians, reflecting its founders’ belief in gospel music as something that can connect performers and audiences. That community focus sits alongside an ambitious live programme covering concerts, celebrations and collaborative performances.

In 2026, the choir marks ten years with a special anniversary performance at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music. The concert celebrates a decade of singing together through gospel, soul and songs chosen to showcase the group’s sound.
