Zilch Patrol

Zilch Patrol are a Byker group whose music combines noise rock, post-punk, post-hardcore, shoegaze and programmed drums. Their sound is deliberately abrasive, built from fuzzed-out guitars, driving beats and feverish vocals rather than polished indie-rock edges.

The band’s self-titled release arrived in 2023, followed by the 2026 album Glamour. Across those records, Zilch Patrol move between blunt noise, post-industrial tension and hazier shoegaze textures, giving the music enough contrast to stay unpredictable.

Newcastle’s DIY scene is central to the project, both in the way the music is made and where it is played. A November 2026 Little Buildings bill with Every Face Becomes a Skull and Boy Latex puts them back into exactly the kind of grassroots setting that suits their sound.
