Conor Michael Newcastle | The Cluny Gig Preview
Conor Michael plays The Cluny Newcastle on 10 October 2026. Preview the North East artist’s hometown headline show.
Conor Michael returns to The Cluny on Saturday 10 October 2026 for a hometown headline show with a difference: this time, the North East singer-songwriter is bringing a full band with him.
Table Of Content
Anyone who has caught Michael around the region will probably know the solo setup — acoustic songwriting, live looping and a performer used to having to create plenty of energy on his own. Putting a full band around those songs changes the possibilities considerably, and that’s the main reason this Cluny date stands out from another routine headline show.

Conor Michael goes full band at The Cluny
Michael has built much of his North East following by making the solo format work for him rather than treating it as a stripped-back substitute for a band. The looping gives the songs movement and allows him to build arrangements in front of the audience, while the writing remains at the centre of what he does.
Saturday should show those songs from another angle. Live drums, bass and additional instrumentation give the bigger sections more room to land, while the challenge will be keeping the directness that people already associate with Michael’s performances. That’s a much more interesting prospect than simply making everything louder.
It also feels like a useful marker of where he is as a live artist. North East audiences have had plenty of opportunities to see Michael in smaller and solo settings; a full-band Cluny headline gives regular followers something genuinely different while offering newcomers a broader introduction to his material.
Harrison Rimmer adds another North East name to the bill. There is also an acoustic pre-show option for early-access ticket holders from 6pm, before general doors open at 7pm. The main performance is listed from 7.30pm.
