ROLLA bring Manchester rock ’n’ roll to Head of Steam
Manchester rock band ROLLA headline Head of Steam Newcastle on 9 October after a run of bigger shows and major support slots.

ROLLA Head of Steam Newcastle lands on Friday 9 October 2026, with the Manchester five-piece bringing their headline show to Neville Street. Doors are at 7pm and the date is presented by This Feeling, placing the band back into the grassroots circuit that has helped carry them from smaller rooms into bigger headline slots.
ROLLA formed in 2020 and built their sound around a mix of Manchester indie, heavier rock ’n’ roll and the kind of large choruses designed to grow in a live room. Their debut EP Nothing Less Than Everything reached number one on the iTunes chart, while later releases and headline shows pushed the band into a wider UK audience.
ROLLA Head of Steam Newcastle brings a bigger band back into a grassroots room
ROLLA formed in 2020 around a high-energy Manchester rock ’n’ roll sound. The band’s official promoter page still puts Newcastle alongside a short run of headline dates, with Head of Steam followed by Leeds the next night.
The Newcastle show follows a period that has included sold-out headline dates and support slots with Kasabian, The K’s and The View. That makes the Head of Steam booking interesting because the band are returning to a smaller room after already proving they can carry larger crowds.
There is also fresh material around the set. ROLLA’s recent run has included the single Breaking Out, while the band have continued to build around the same blend of swagger, melody and guitar weight that first brought them attention through Radio X, BBC airplay and This Feeling shows.
Head of Steam should suit that combination particularly well. The venue’s downstairs room is close enough for the rhythm section and guitars to hit with real force, but small enough to keep the crowd connected to the band rather than watching from distance.
This Feeling’s involvement matters too. The promoter has been part of ROLLA’s development from early on, so the Newcastle date feels connected to the route the band have taken rather than simply being a hired room on a generic tour.
ROLLA play Head of Steam Newcastle on Friday 9 October 2026. Doors are at 7pm and the event is 18+. Check This Feeling, the band and ticketing channels before travelling for any late support, timing or entry updates.
