The Entitled Sons bring Epitaph era to The Grove

The Entitled Sons Newcastle arrives at The Grove on Sunday 8 November as part of the band’s 2026 UK headline tour. Doors are listed for 7pm, with the Newcastle date landing in a run that takes the group through Cardiff, Manchester, Glasgow, Leeds, Brighton and further dates into December.

The timing gives the show more weight than a routine tour stop. The Entitled Sons are touring after the release of their 2026 single Epitaph, which follows the band’s 2025 debut album No Clue. That record brought together tracks including Lover Boy, Still Smiling, Pretty Please, Rockstar and Ordinary Boy, giving the group a fuller catalogue to draw from as the live set develops.

The band’s sound mixes contemporary electronic synths with guitar-led rock and direct, melodic songwriting. The Entitled Sons also come into this run after a sold-out 2025 Live Nation O2 Academy tour, so the Newcastle show catches them at a point where the venues remain intimate while the scale of the audience around them is clearly growing.

The band’s latest single, Epitaph (Not There), brings a different dimension to this tour. Produced by Fred Abbott, the song moves towards a softer, more vulnerable sound, offering a contrast to the high-energy guitar riffs and electronic textures that have become part of their identity. It should make for an interesting change of pace alongside material from their debut album No Clue, released in late 2025.

From Glastonbury to The Grove

Formed in 2022, The Entitled Sons feature brothers Billy, Charlie, Raffey and Laurie, joined by bassist Graham Swift. Their rise has included winning the Pilton Stage Competition, appearing at Glastonbury and CarFest, and selling out headline shows including London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire. Their previous sold-out Academy tour gives an indication of the following they have developed in a relatively short time.

There is plenty of character in the mix: guitar-led indie and alternative rock, electronic flourishes and an emphasis on songs made to connect with an audience. Yet the newer single also suggests a band keen to explore the quieter side of their writing, rather than relying solely on anthems. For Newcastle gig-goers, The Grove offers an opportunity to see how those contrasting approaches translate to a more intimate stage.

The Grove is a useful setting for that stage of the band’s progress. Its smaller room keeps the performance close to the crowd, while the mix of synths, guitars and big choruses should still have enough space to land with the energy the group have built their reputation around.
