Underdark Bring New Album Era to Head of Steam
Underdark bring material from forthcoming album O Come Forth Annihilation to Head of Steam Newcastle on 3 October with Ba'al.

Underdark Newcastle arrives at Head of Steam on Saturday 3 October 2026, with Ba’al joining the bill and doors at 7pm. The Nottingham band reach Neville Street at a particularly useful point in their year because a new full-length record is already on the horizon.
Underdark’s official Bandcamp currently places O Come Forth Annihilation at the centre of the band’s next phase, with the album due on 6 November 2026 through Church Road Records. The current track Non Linear Warfare is already available ahead of the release, giving the Newcastle date fresh material to work with before the record arrives in full.
Underdark Newcastle arrives before the new album
The Newcastle date lands just over a month before O Come Forth Annihilation is released on 6 November 2026. That makes this more interesting than a standard catalogue show because Head of Steam catches Underdark while the next record is moving from announcement into the live set.
The routing adds to that sense of momentum. Underdark’s official live dates place Glasgow on 2 October and Newcastle the following night, before further autumn shows later in November. Head of Steam therefore sits inside an active touring run rather than appearing as an isolated one-off date.
Ba’al adds another heavy and atmospheric edge to the bill. The support pairing should suit Underdark’s ability to move between black metal intensity, post-metal weight and more exposed passages without flattening everything into one continuous wall of noise.
Head of Steam is also a strong room for that kind of dynamic change. The basement keeps the audience close, which should make the quieter sections feel as deliberate as the heavier peaks. For a band whose music relies on contrast, that matters more than simply having a large stage.
Underdark play Head of Steam Newcastle on Saturday 3 October 2026. Doors are at 7pm, with Ba’al also appearing. The venue is 18+. Current event information is available through Bandsintown.
