The Avelons

The Avelons are a Newcastle indie band built around melodic guitar lines, direct choruses and the restless energy of the city’s grassroots circuit. Their sound leans into modern guitar-pop without losing the rougher live edge that comes from developing songs in small venues.

The band have steadily built an audience through releases, local support slots and festival appearances, with their Newcastle roots remaining central to the way they have grown. Rather than chasing an overly polished sound, the songs tend to work through bright melodies, driving rhythm and a strong sense of momentum.

Live activity continues to be a major part of The Avelons’ identity. A September 2026 show at Little Buildings keeps them closely connected to the independent Newcastle venues that have helped shape the band so far.
