Gently Tender Bring New Album to Cluny 2
Gently Tender bring second album This Was Once Fields to Cluny 2 with support from 60 juno on 9 November 2026.

The Gently Tender Newcastle gig brings the South London six-piece to Cluny 2 on Monday 9 November 2026, joined by California artist 60 juno. The visit follows the October release of the band’s second album, This Was Once Fields, and places two different forms of dreamy guitar music on one bill.
New music at the Gently Tender Newcastle gig
Gently Tender formed from the ashes of Palma Violets, with Sam Fryer, Pete Mayhew and Will Doyle joined by Francesca Brierley, Adam Brown and Evie Hilyer-Ziegler. Their music looks towards the British countryside, folding pastoral melody and lush harmony into indie rock while also drawing from folk, punk and soul.
The band’s second album, This Was Once Fields, is released on 16 October 2026. Its ten-track running order includes A Mound A Field, Don’t Sleep, City Of The Beast and Wild In The Uplands. Therefore, the Cluny 2 date arrives less than a month after the record and should put that new material close to the centre of the performance.
Their 2022 debut was produced by Matthew E White, establishing a broad, richly arranged sound. This new chapter keeps the group’s melodic instincts while developing the rural imagery that has long shaped their identity.
Support comes from 60 juno, an independent musician from Merced, California. He writes and performs the bass, drums, guitar and vocals himself, combining wistful DIY indie rock with post-punk energy, low vocals and nostalgic atmosphere. That contrast gives the evening a wider sonic arc before the headliners arrive.
