NEXT STOP VEGAS at The Point Sunderland
Next Stop Vegas bring a wide-ranging rock and pop set to The Point Sunderland on Saturday 3 October. Event starts 7pm; band live 8:45pm. Free entry.
Next Stop Vegas arrive at The Point Sunderland on Saturday 3 October with one of the broader song lists in the venue’s autumn Live Lounge run. The five-piece cover material from the 1960s through to the present day, with Springsteen, Oasis, Sam Fender, U2, Stereophonics, Foo Fighters and Arctic Monkeys all sitting naturally in the same set.
Table Of Content
The line-up is clearly defined too. Steven handles vocals and keys, Paul is on bass, Leigh and Lewis are on drums, and Mark is on guitar. That gives the band a settled live set-up and enough range to move between very different eras without the night feeling scattered.

The songbook also reaches into Rag’n’Bone Man, The White Stripes, Creedence, Primal Scream, Coldplay and The Killers. The common thread is strong choruses and guitar hooks, so the set should keep its shape even as the decades change.
The event starts at 7pm, followed by Happy Hour until 8pm. Next Stop Vegas are live at 8:45pm and entry is free. On a Saturday, that gives the room time to build before the band starts and leaves plenty of scope for a longer evening afterwards if you are staying in the city centre.
A set built around recognition
The appeal here is not obscurity. It is hearing a band move quickly between songs people know, from older American rock through Britpop and into more recent UK guitar music. Sam Fender alongside Springsteen makes particular sense in that context, while Oasis, Stereophonics and The Killers should keep the singalong side strong.
