lots of hands Brings the Tour Home to Newcastle
Newcastle duo lots of hands co-headlines The Grove with SUNDOTS on 12 November 2026, with doors at 7pm.

lots of hands The Grove Newcastle brings the Newcastle project back home on Thursday 12 November 2026 for a co-headline date with SUNDOTS. Doors open at 7pm, and the show lands in the middle of a wider run that takes the pair through Berlin, Hamburg, Essen, Cologne, Amsterdam, Brighton, London, Hebden Bridge, Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool and Bristol.
lots of hands is centred on Billy Woodhouse and Elliot Dryden, who first met through a Newcastle school music programme when they were 16. The project has grown from bedroom recordings and self-released work into a wider catalogue that moves between lo-fi indie, ambient electronics, intimate songwriting and fuller band arrangements without losing the homemade character at its core.

The local date matters because the official Bandcamp still identifies Newcastle upon Tyne as home. The 2025 Fire Talk release into a pretty room marked a major step forward, bringing reworked demos, session pieces and electronics together around grief, growing up and letting go. A deluxe version of mistake followed later that year, while grapevine arrived in April 2026.
By November, the band will have spent several weeks moving through European and UK rooms with SUNDOTS. That should give the co-headline format time to settle before it reaches The Grove, while the hometown setting adds a different energy from the dates elsewhere on the run.
The Grove is a strong fit for the music because the quieter sections can remain detailed without stopping the louder moments from opening up. lots of hands works best when the fragile and noisy sides sit next to each other, and a compact room keeps that contrast close to the audience.
SUNDOTS makes this more than a standard local headline show. The touring partnership gives both acts equal weight and means the Newcastle date is part of a shared run rather than a one-off support arrangement.
SoundBite Artist **32902** is now connected to Event 32809, so the show will also feed directly into the lots of hands profile and the wider Newcastle listings. Check both artists and The Grove channels before travelling for any late changes.
More North East gigs are listed in SoundBite North East’s Upcoming Gigs, while the venue’s full programme is on our The Grove Newcastle page.
