Siobhan Miller Brings New Sixth Album to The Cluny
Four-time Scots Singer of the Year Siobhan Miller returns with a six-piece band and songs from her first studio album since 2022’s Bloom.

Siobhan Miller Newcastle brings the Scottish singer and her six-piece band to The Cluny on Wednesday 4 November 2026. The seven-date tour introduces a new studio album while returning Miller’s festival-sized arrangements to intimate rooms.
Table Of Content

The seven-date tour marks Siobhan Miller’s sixth studio album and her first since Bloom in 2022. That gap gives the Newcastle appearance a clear purpose. New songs will be heard live for the first time alongside established material from across her catalogue.
Siobhan Miller Newcastle follows a live-album chapter
Miller’s sold-out 2024 tour was captured for a live album before this return to intimate venues. Consequently, the new dates sit between two different documents of her work. One preserves a previous tour, while the other begins the life of a fresh studio record.
The six-piece line-up should give the new arrangements plenty of depth. Traditional folk detail can remain clear, yet the band also has enough scale for festival-style lifts. Therefore, The Cluny offers a chance to hear a larger ensemble without the distance of a theatre stage.
Miller has been named Scots Singer of the Year four times. However, the appeal of this tour isn’t limited to awards or familiar songs. Its most interesting element is hearing how a recognised voice introduces a new record to audiences one room at a time.
The band format can also change the character of older favourites. A song may gain a fuller rhythmic push, while another can narrow down to focus on Miller’s delivery. Meanwhile, the close Ouseburn setting should keep those shifts easy to follow.
While We Have the Time: the album behind the tour
The Newcastle show arrives two days before While We Have the Time is released on 6 November through Songprint Recordings. Miller’s sixth studio album contains ten original songs, written with friends in Glasgow’s music community and recorded with the band playing together in the room. The sessions took just three days, with twelve days separating the first session and the finished master.
The title reflects the circumstances in which it was made. With a new baby at home, Miller found an unexpected opening to record songs she had not originally planned to turn into an album. The record holds on to that opportunity to make music with people she knows well, rather than trying to disguise the energy of a band finding its way through songs together.
Fiddle, acoustic guitar and piano sit alongside bass and drums, allowing Scottish folk textures to meet the rhythmic pull of folk-pop. Eddi Reader, Kris Drever, Cahalen Morrison, Donald Shaw and Fergus McCreadie are among the guest contributors.
New songs, familiar chemistry
The first single, Out of Time, is released on 21 October. Its story follows a woman trapped in the same repeating day while she alone continues to grow older. The arrangement builds towards a rush of fiddle, banjo, whistle and accordion. Album focus track The Tune Before the Song takes a brighter turn, with a buoyant chorus about trusting a relationship before the future is certain.
The musicians coming to Newcastle are Innes White on acoustic guitar, Charlie Stewart on fiddle, Louis Abbott on drums, Tom Gibbs on piano and Euan Burton on bass, joining Miller on vocals. Their playing is also central to Live Album, released in May 2026 and recorded across nine performances on the band’s first full-band UK tour in 2024.
The Cluny is the opening date of the seven-show band run, followed by London, Birmingham, Liverpool, Dundee, Aberdeen and Edinburgh. Birmingham coincides with the studio album’s release on 6 November. Later performances include trio shows in Birnam and Lerwick, Winterlight in Stirling with RURA and a Celtic Connections concert at Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom with Kris Drever in January.
No support act appears on the current official page. Doors open at 7.30pm, and advance tickets cost £20 plus fees. The event is for ages 16 and over. Anyone under 18 must attend with an adult.
